What We Offer
Proposed Value
Taking advantage of the vast opportunities that road infrastructure represents for business, communities and economies is as important as dealing head-on with the emerging challenges associated with road construction, use and maintenance.
As such, the value we propose in this area resides at the intersection of key bottom lines of both opportunity and challenge. It’s complex. But to decipher what these bottom lines are and where they interface so we can offer the value we promise, we ask the following simple, yet fundamental questions for each assignment we undertake:
- Where is this road taking us from an economic perspective?
- Where is this road taking us from a social perspective?
- Where is this road taking us from an ecological perspective?
For economic soundness and impact, we think, among other things; connecting economic hubs – locally, nationally and regionally – and tangible gains that will result. We think cost-effective and efficient materials and logistics. We think quality and its effect on future maintenance.
For social soundness and impact, we think, among others things; the extent to which roads facilitate social cohesion and improve the quality of life. We think not only job creation, but also broadening participation to previously disadvantaged groups and developing skills employable in many other spheres of work and life.
For ecological soundness and impact, we think, among other things; sustainable sourcing. We think integration of road transport with other modes so as to maximise the entire transportation ecosystem while assuaging the ecological impact overall.
This is the kind and level of value we aim for and for which we are consciously building and nurturing our capabilities.
